The Carnival Schedule is a bit late to post, but here it is!

Sunday and Monday are both marked as "Off" completely, Tuesday is full with Baldur's Gate 3 at 1pm and Labyrinthine at 7:30pm. Wednesday is marked with Silent Hill 2 at 1pm. Thursday is completely marked as an off day same as Sunday and Monday. Friday is another Double Feature, starting with Tales from the Borderlands at 1pm, with Dying Light at 7:30pm. Saturday is marked to start at 3pm, for Dead Rising 2: Off the Record.

We start the week with double trouble on Tuesday with BG3 Co-Op as usual AND some evening Spookies with Labyrinthine!

Wednesday is Silent Hill 2 as per usual!

Friday is another Double Feature with Tales from the Borderlands starting up, and a continuation of Dying Light with @heckm3up.bsky.social !

Saturday is a new addition and a fresh collab with @darriengamefox.bsky.social on Dead Rising 2: Off the Record!

I’m still so upset that Fable 2 & 3 are locked on the Xbox 350. They’re not the most perfect games, but I have a lot of love for them both. A lot of fond memories. I’ve been itching to play them again.

Nothing has made me reconsider my decision to drop out of college more deeply than seeing people’s rights violated so deeply as they have been the last decade.

I was aiming for a law degree back then and part of me regrets not following through on occasion. Ever more so lately.

I mean I gave it more respect than any other part of the post-GC console releases. Though I did fail to mention my respect for their handheld game pre-Switch, which I should have done too.

The Wii’s library had a lot of gems, but it was also inundated with shovelware because of ease of development.

I should have stanced that I was focused on home consoles. Until the end of the 3DS, handhelds were why I was able to excuse Nintendo’s weird/bad practices.

I could open up the rest of the cans I presented earlier, and really dress down Nintendo’s lackluster game design and how they rely so heavily on gimmick gameplay and nostalgia to remain “acceptably relevant” to the modern consumer base, but I really want do more than type on this fine Saturday.

The Switch2 is what the Switch should have been 8 years ago. It’s still not great, but it’s definitely more impressive than the Switch ever was. We’re yet to see where it goes, but I don’t have high hopes considering Nintendo’s patterns lately.

It’s underpowered, barely able to keep pace with 7th gen hardware at some points, despite being part of the 8th gen itself. The technical failures that are the joycons are something I will never forgive personally. They continue to be a problem to this day.

I don’t have a lot more to say on the WiiU, it’s just a lackluster and underwhelming console. The Switch is a bad home console and a mediocre handheld. The original Switch is heavy and unwieldy for extended handheld play, and its lack of palm grips is uncomfortable to say the least.
