Walking in Light Persistent Rain
Yesterday I walked in light persistent rain for around two hours and my trousers got a little wet. The rain was heavy enough for me not to be dry, but not heavy enough to soak me. During the walk I noticed, at one point, that the rain seemed to be aerosolised, floating upwards and sideways rather than straight down. The wind was picking up so I suspect that it's the wind that changed the properties and behaviour of the rain.

In the age of the trillion dollar AI bubble, maybe it's time to rethink ethics and morality, to ensure that human beings have disposable income, rather than immoral persons (corporations). You can't mothball human jobs and then expect consumerism to escape unscathed.

For years I have been getting spam from this address. It goes straight to spam but doesn't automatically block the sender. This is spam I have been getting for decades. I am sharing the address in the hope that someone will write a filter to demolish this spammer's reach.

At this point I have been getting this spam message every few days/weeks for years now. A different name, but the same message. These fucking bastards spam the same bullshit over and over. They're fucking lazy and I am fucking tired of this spam. You can tell it's bot spam, with no human interaction

Autumn Walks in Winter Snow
This weekend I could have cycled on Saturday and Sunday but I chose not to because I am finally feeling recovered from my cold. I did not want to overdo it by cycling, and getting cold. With hiking I can dress warmly and go at a more relaxed pace. I noticed that the pace at the Arboretum, and up to La Dôle, were the same.

Switzerland isn't bureaucratic compared to other nations. And they cut down bureaucracies, to increase waiting time. DOGE was all about reducing quality of service and penny pinching. the UDC follow the same absurd ideals.

We have mastodon. We have the fediverse. It’s ready.
Finland uses “Russia-gauge” rails. They are going to move to European compatible rail gauge for their own resilience.

This is what we should be thinking about for moving to open social away from American platforms: it should come with significant spending commitments & is absolutely necessary.

The Union Des Crétins want to destroy Swiss National Broadcasting. Disinformation is easy to spread once the UDC destroys the RTS, and the Tories destroy the BBC. All in Favour of Rusisian fascism. The useful idiots want to undermine democracy globally. The cold war is still alive.

Second day in a row waking up, not coughing and not blowing my nose. It feels good to have got rid of the cold at last. By Wednesday i can do normal things again. This cold sucked. The problem is that i felt just crap enough not to be able to do things. I didn’t feel sick enough not to feel lazy.

Over a decade ago i stopped seeing Geneva people because they weren’t punctual. Yesterday i went out and no one showed up within 25 minutes of the agreed time so i went home. They showed up 45 minutes later. I don’t tolerate that. That group is dead to me.

There is a rule about colds. If you want to get over a cold, buy tissues. As soon as you do your nose will stop running, and you will feel great healthy again. I hope it works. I bought some during my afternoon walk.

The Abandoned Engineering TV Documentary Series
Recently whist playing with Galaxus TV which is just free to air television, made available via Galaxus rather than a satellite dish I have been able to revert to the habit of watching niche documentaries, as I used to years ago, when I lived in a house with a satellite dish. The beauty of broadcast television, in contrast to streaming services, is that you have high quality content that was good enough for broadcast.
