My daughter lives in Sydney and yet unknowingly noticed the large police activity when passing over the bridge there just after the event.
Her (also English) best friend lives next to Bondi Beach and was there when the massacre hit, coming off unscathed.

My daughter lives in Sydney and yet unknowingly noticed the large police activity when passing over the bridge there just after the event.
Her (also English) best friend lives next to Bondi Beach and was there when the massacre hit, coming off unscathed.
But it brings this close to home.
