Going to our last farmers market at Dixboro tomorrow afternoon. It's good to touch dahlias after this crazy news week. The #GOP group chat, nuts! Dahlias are grounding, reminding me that beauty and nature go on. #DahliaSeason #RevelnGardens

Popping! Our heirloom tomatoes & snapdragons, overwintered French & new Munstead lavender. Our English lavender survived the winter, too.

Here's a nice scorpion flower, aka Lacy Phacelia- Phacelia tenacetifolia. It's great for pollinators AND good for the soil. It grows well when direct seeded. We're using it to enrich soil in our market gardens.

Got fungus gnats? I beat them this year. No more yucky sticky traps, get them at the source. Some of my many succulents I bring indoors in the winter. The collage is 2 years ago. They've doubled in size now, without fungus gnat pests!

Ranunculus! Soon I will be planting them to root up in the garage. Last year was a success. What will this year bring?

This tulip farm in Trevelin, Argentina lies just across the border from us. Trevelin & Los Alerces National Park belong to the Futaleufú watershed, flowing west into the Pacific. Technically, this should be Chile. But, in 1902, local citizens voted to stay in Argentina. We love them just the same. ❤️

If the sight of the blue skies fills you with joy, if a blade of grass springing up in the fields has power to move you, if the simple things of nature have a message that you understand, rejoice, for your soul is alive. ~ Eleonora Duse

It's time for some beauty. Sharing some favorites, early Forsythia is now showing up for sale at Trader Joe's locally here in SE Michigan, signs of spring coming. These are photos of some that I've forced in January in past years.

What a gorgeous, unique dusky color! How would you describe it? Does it bloom mid-season or late?

Just a few more months until they bloom again.

A lily? Cool. Most of mine, both Asiatics and Orientals are now gone due to the nefarious red lily beetle invading our area. Have you had any trouble with those? I'm in zone 6 as well.
