Dwarven isolationism and protectionism also takes a hard knock though. The only overlordship that seems to withstand decay and scrutiny in that sense is Manwë’s suzerainty of Arda. And that, too, has its critics. The idea of a representative kingship is yearned for—but mainly hypothetical.

Idk. The downfall of elvendom is correlative with the high kingships. The downfall of Numenor is causationally linked with imperial practice and ambition (one might have to ask if there’s an isolationist tendency built in here…). To the degree that creatures undertake empire, they diminish.

Unfortunately, it’s bred in. And not just because of Common Cause Partnership types who left TEC. But I think by including REC, AMiA, etc, they really united all the “correct” churches that had any missional effect (contra all the Affirmation of St. Louis types, who have more bishops than baptisms).
