This plaque in Prague has been rubbed to a shiny gold because for centuries, passersby have touched the dog for good luck, and also to reassure him that he's a very good boy. 14/10
Him living his best life as a draft-stopper lol

Overly-optimistic perhaps, but I keep hoping that one day consumers will get completely get sick of smart technology and it ushers in a new era of minimalist technology that values pure function over trying to stuff devices with utility and "features" that are just there to create more e-waste.
I had planned to do nothing today, but some organizing tools came in, so naturally... I've done too much now.

Regime enablers in Georgia are easily irritated these days.
Context below.
Aw poor lil man, hope he's doin' alright <3
All this to say, it doesn't matter where an item comes from or what it's made of, if you take good care of your things they can last you a lifetime.
I have clothes that I bought from the thrift store 20 years ago, whose ages are not known but obviously weren't new, that look the same as they did when I bought them.
And you could say "oh the quality used to be better back in the day" and sure you'd be correct, but I have 20 year old pants from walmart that look as good today as they did when I bought them new.
Hell, I'm wearing a tanktop that used to be my mother's that predate my birth.
There are photos of my mother in her late 20s wearing this tanktop.
It's an antique at this point. Not retro, not vintage, antique!
Ah well, the one thing you can't accuse me of is being wasteful; I take excellent care of my things and they last well past their projected expiration date.
I hate just throwing away stuff, but what can you do with an ancient, stretched out, scuffed sports bra? Who'd want to buy that from a thrift shop? lol
Threw away the first sports bra I ever bought. Must have had it for almost 8 years. Back when VS wasn't shit, they had some really quality items.

Yo, if my dad asked me to wear a ring around my member so that we could compare nighttime erectile activity, I would simply never speak to him again.

Been thinking a lot about Lynch. I’m probably preaching to the choir here but I think a major takeaway of his legacy should be to make art on your own terms, as much as possible. Do things only you can. Be undeniable.
It's barely the middle of the first month of the year and already it feels like 3 months have gone by in the worst possible way.
this is the year
Yes, but all it does is yell HEY! LISTEN! at a volume you can not control at a time you may or may not specify.

Most times ya wake up and all ya hear is the 3 phases

Be angry

Be afraid

Buy something

Most likely in that order
Most of the time I call my emotions stupid and pointless.
Getting upset is futility. An expression of futility. Proof there are things I can not accept, and I'm no good at change.
Shit's bad man.
I know it is cuz things are happening that have never happened before in all the 20 years I've been here.
Someone's painting swastikas on 2 of my neighbour's fences.
In the 40+ years they've lived there this has never happened before.
Brilliant.
Can't say they don't know their demographic eh lol
The medicine commercials during the Golden Globes have been for Ozempic, hot flashes and HIV meds.
They really said “we see you big girls, gays and olds!”
Sleep is pretty great!
Really enjoying sleep, at last.
Got half a lifetime of catching up to do.

I don't want my fridge to have a camera or Wi-Fi. I don't want my dishwasher to be smart. I don't want my washing machine to text me.

In fact, I kinda miss knobs and dials and knowing big appliances would last 20 years and could still be repaired.
