With the passing of Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, we have lost not just one of the greatest villains in all cinema, we lost one of the most skilled actors of an era.

I would have killed to see him star as a grumpy detective in a mystery series. He could have done it.

He could do anything.

RIP

Whether it's F1 or MY DARLING CLEMENTINE or a novel by Philip Roth, I can never really go along with the supposed happy ending of a hero choosing to isolate himself.

In the 90s, DIE HARD clones filled the action movie market. This year, better late than never, we published our entry in this subgenre.

Putting together my Top 5 books I've read in 2025 (which does not mean released in 2025, just that I discovered them for the first time in 2025) and it turns out that reading 43 books can make that a challenge.

Paring this down to just 5 is going to be...tough.

I need to read crummier books!

I love this series! It's a modern love letter to 1930s pulps with a vibe of Indiana Jones, X-Files, and Supernatural, all with epic, globetrotting thrills and a cast of lovable rogues!

And you know what? It'd make a swell Christmas present to the adventure reader in your life.
