I’ve thought about that 🤣 She was born in May, so the world is just hot as far as she knows. Snow will blow her mind!

31 Days of Horror: The Night Evelyn Came Out of the Grave (1971). Giallo with a touch of gothic horror. Pairs perfectly with the director’s The Red Queen Kills Seven Times.

The first volume was incredible, so I’m excited for this one. All new to me movies.

This beautiful set arrived! Daiei Gothic, Vol 2, with three films that span 1960 to 1970.

31 Days of Horror: The Mummy’s Revenge (1975). A Paul Naschy rewatch today. Here the King of Spanish horror proves he truly can play all the classic monsters.

Perfect night for an M.R. James tale. Rereading ‘Martin’s Close.’

31 Days of Horror: The Haunted House of Horror (1969). Groovy mods have a ‘gas’ & break into a haunted manor. Then they have a choice to make: seance or orgy (their words). Instead a guy gets killed & moronic decisions follow. File under ‘Frankie Avalon gets stabbed in the dick.’

Some say the world will end in fire. Some say flood. 15 excellent short stories about climate change (including one by me), guest-edited by Curtis Ippolito.
Crime fiction that matters.
Don't take my word for it- listen to Jordan harper and order your copy

31 Days of Horror: Freaks (1932). A movie I love more and more as the years go on. It grows on me. I keep both releases because they have two different David J. Skal commentaries (one of my heroes RIP).

Lugosi makes that one my favorite, but I think this is Browning’s masterwork. It captures his spirit.
