I've been waiting until the semester craziness was over. And I just found out that the NSF program I was going to submit a proposal to has been archived, so I no longer have a grant to write over the break. 🤣😭 Woohoo, binging!

Look, I try to be a nice, empathetic educator, but this time of year, I definitely turn into an asshole. I don't have a Saturday exam like Prof Zimmerman here (thank God for small favors), but I'm tired of the emails/Qs about when the final is. I've been telling you the whole semester!

I don't think I want to be a homesteader, but looking for ways to improve my gardening seems to have led me down that path on YouTube. It's fascinating, for sure, and kudos to those that do it.

I need more expertise in growing in North Texas, though, in the channels I follow.

Maybe I'm thinking about it too simplistically, but -deltaG means reaction is spont in forward direction/as written, and the Gibbs energy is the energy free to do other work. So I've never thought about it as "releasing Gibbs energy"... So still wrong, but wrong in a different way, as you said. 😁
