Page 39 of my webcomic, Hex & Seal. Tebra thinks about Hex's question. Oh, well. Not really? But here gifts are usually for special occasions. Birthdays, holidays and such. And dates, I guess. Hex lets out an awkward laugh on the mention of dates, then quickly apologises. I'm just not great at reading non-Whisperers. He says, averting his gaze and giving Tebra a crooked, tight-lipped smile. Tebra is quick to pick up on Hex's worried tone. Oh, don't worry! She begins, People love gifts here too! But will likely show appreciation in other ways. Tebra smiles mischievously and steps closer, placing a hand on Hex's shoulder. And if you ever need pretty fabrics for a gift... Hex laughs, I'll keep you in mind! The scene shifts to a late summer night. They live high enough north that on the days around Midsummer the sun doesn't fully set and the skies remain a lovely mix of pastel peachy tones while the roads shaded by the surrounding trees are bathed in twilight. Hex walks Luck the hunting dog along a dirt road surrounded by trees.
