Why "Radical" Russ Left Idaho (Have You Read the News?) - RadicalRuss.com
When people in Southern Oregon learn I am from Idaho, they will sometimes ask, “why did you leave?” I usually […]

It took a while scrolling through my feed to learn there is a left-wing political party in the UK called Your Party, in case you thought shit branding from the left was strictly an American phenomenon.

Every time I see a picture like this I'm flummoxed to be part of a species that can observe and understand things from the cosmological scale down to the Planck length, yet we can't figure out how to feed everybody and not befoul our only habitat.
A spiral galaxy, observed with the Hubble Space Telescope in the COSMOS survey.

It is at redshift 0.85 (lookback time 7.29 billion years) with coordinates (150.19474, 2.06790).

46 volunteers classified this galaxy in Galaxy Zoo: Hubble.

And if you cannot exit the simulation, what difference does it make? Either the steak I ate came from cow and its proteins triggered taste buds that made brain go yum, or all that was simulated, and so what? My brain go yum either way.
Flawless logic, sir! Makes perfect sense that because video games are improving, we must live in a simulation!

At the same time a lawless administration runs roughshod over our constitution, murdering guys on boats abroad, beating and disappearing families at home, AIPAC Shakur thinks "strong floor, no ceiling" is what we want and not "liberty and justice for all" or "prosecute the war criminals".

Has anyone started the fearmongering Satanic panic rumor about 6-7 yet? I'll start: I heard that 6-7 is part of an occult ritual where kids get fully naked in a 69 position, but stay just far enough apart so their lips don't touch genitals. It's a 69 minus 2. The tension summons Satan. Run with it.

Remember, he committed 34 felony frauds to "win" the 1st election that he lost by 3 million votes, lost the 2nd election and attempted to defraud Georgia's results, then fomented insurrection, and was never eligible for the 3rd election according to the clear meaning of the 14th Amendment Section 3.

Reporter: Governor Walz called for the release of your MRI results

Trump: They were perfect like my phone call where I got impeached.

Reporter: Can you tell us what they were looking at?

Trump: I have no idea. It was just an MRI. It wasn’t the brain because I took a cognitive test and aced it.

Not to be lost if you can't bear to hear him, is his closing, "and you couldn't pass it [the cognitive test] or you" to the two women reporters.

As I used to say in my stump speeches, "It's nice that we have facts, science, reason, and logic) on our side, but if facts, science, reason, and logic won the day, marijuana would've been legalized in the 1940s."
Imagining that the climate battle is about *information* -- that those who have good information will act; that those who aren't acting must be lacking information -- has been utterly disastrous for decades now, but advocates & pols can't seem to break out of it.

Ya gotta love a century so far where creating capitalist bubbles that burst and crater the economy and then bailing out the cause with some socialism every decade is just an expected feature of the system.
One thing I learned over the weekend from talking to finance people is that they assume the AI bubble is going to burst and their issue is figuring out when so they can time their trades right.

I was on the fence about sitting sober in front of my computer listening to electronic music from a woman who mated with Elon Musk while a billionaire has a psychedelic experience, but knowing Mr. Beast *and* the CEO of Salesforce will be there moved me from "no" to "fuck no."

Hakeem Jeffries is an elaborate Andy Kaufman parody, isn't he? As if he were tasked to make a Tony Clifton version of Tip O'Neill.

GOP voters backed Trump as the ‘anti-war’ candidate. Now many back action in Venezuela.
Many Trump supporters bought his questionable line about not starting any “new wars” — but new polling shows they’re supportive of military action against Venezuela. www.ms.now/opinion/trum...

Philip Bump: In 2024, Trump had the support of many "antiwar" voters. In 2025, a lot of those same voters would support him launching an attack on Venezuela.

Getting better, Democrats. Now, start calling Stephen Miller, JD Vance, Tom Homan, Russ Vought, and Donald Trump racists. They are white nationalists engaged in ethnic cleansing. They wish to eradicate non-white people from America. Be explicit.
Mark Kelly: "This president, when he says things like 'third world countries,' what is he really saying? I think what he's saying is he doesn't want brown people in our country. And that's disturbing. It's un-American."
