They say “We support neurodiversity”.

But only if it sells.

Only if we mask at work.

Only if we don’t make others uncomfortable.

This isn’t liberation.

It’s marketing.

They don’t want autistic people -

they want autistic performance.

Congress babe, wake up, new constitutional violations just dropped.

Dearest neurotypicals, I need social skills help, please.

I was writing an address on an envelope.

Person 1: "what are you doing?".

Me: "writing an address" (for it was what I was doing).

Them: "wow. You don't have to be aggressive".

HOW? WHAT?? I ANSWERED THE QUESTION.

You might not need Medicaid now but you might when you’re old. You might after you lost your job and insurance. You might if something catastrophic happens. You might if you have a child with disabilities.

Is there an #epilepsy community here? Does anyone find their seizures are triggered by weather or temp? Still trying to figure out the small lad's triggers but absence seizures have def increased with hot, sunny weather in Ireland/his tonic clonic occured last yr on the hottest day of the yr.

Instruments that don't require great fine motor skills? My 10 yo, speech delayed kid has an ear for music (& can accurately impersonate sounds & voices) but struggles w/ fine motor... would love to find something he could confidently mess around on & maybe turn to lessons (if he wants). #Music

“The U.S. has seen a rise in autism rates.”

Yeah, it’s almost like increased awareness and better testing leads to more people being diagnosed.

Wild concept.

This INFURIATES me. These transition programmes are so f**king important.
DOGE abruptly cut a program called Charting My Path for Future Success—a research-based effort that helped teens with disabilities transition from high school into college, work, and independent living. Now it’s gone without explanation.

🙄🙄. How can people be SO loudly wrong and double and triple down on it?

Have started checking astrology again; last did that was around 2008 😅. It's a wild time to be autistic w/ a history special interest & hyperempathy. Currently being held together by a tarot Tiktok telling me not to crash out bc good things are coming. I guess find the hope where you can 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I don't know why tariffs on pharmaceuticals just shocked me. I would think nothing would shock me anymore. But apparently I was still holding onto some kernel of hope that he wasn't totally sociopathic 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Senator Cory Booker has started his 19th hour on the Senate floor during his filibuster.

"I don't understand how we can be a nation with so much wealth and abundance and we haven't figured out a way to design a system where, when you invest in the wellbeing of people, people thrive."

Bravo, Cory!

Happy autism acceptance month.

No, vaccines do not cause autism. Genetics cause autism. We don't need more studies on what causes autism, we need more studies on improving life and the life expectancy of autistic people.

Broadened DSM and greater awareness have increased autism stats.

Yall real silent about disability injustices because most of you don’t see disability as a thing that can happen to you.

We are “aww those poor people”. Meanwhile disability can happen to anyone at any moment and those injustices you ignored? They become your experiences too
