I once was a Sunday School teacher in a former pit village parish and somehow that led me to being on various national Labour Party committees.

Comments are in personal capacity and not made on behalf of any organisation I’m associated with.
Just done a Google translate of Portuguese and in absolutely here for those who put “a warm hug” in a business email 🤗

I picked this jacket up from TK Maxx in the sales and I think it makes me look quite intimidating. 😱

If @tinabhartwas.bsky.social had been thinking about this for “some time”, she was thinking about it:

* when she stood for deputy group leader
* on polling day when Labour activists were GOTVing
* when activists mucked in to get leaflets out and doorknock

This reminded me of when Bill McLaren used to exclaim “and they’ll be dancing in the streets of Sedburgh/Barnard Castle/[insert player’s independent school] tonight!” every time an international rugby player scored a try bsky.app/profile/nyti...
Church bells rang for hours at Villanova University when they heard that Robert Francis Prevost, a former student, had just become the new pope. “As soon as we heard ‘Prevost,’ everyone started cheering,” one student said. nyti.ms/43m0VSb

How many of us are thinking “if only I’d taken a trip to Runcorn, I could have found 6 votes?”

Special prayers offered for all the campaign organisers today. They never get the glory. But today will be HARD. You’ll have earned yourself a drink and a good nights sleep by close of polls.

Back in 2016, our landlord wanted our house back so we were looking for somewhere else to rent in NE Herts.

The house opposite came up.

It went on the market at 9am. By 10am, they had 20 viewings lined up.

This has an impact on my views on housing policy.

Minimum wage for a 9-5 full time job (40 hours a week) is, as of today, £25,396 a year for anyone over 21.

Which is why it's amazing to see journalism jobs requiring a degree, job experience, and driving licence advertised at a "competitive salary" of £22,380. tindlenews.co.uk/careers/jour...
