I live in the PNW. I play various ukuleles.
You ever have that thing where you see something moving out of the corner of your eye, but there's nothing there when you turn your head?

Well, in my case just now, it's because there was an ant crawling on the frame of my glasses. No thank you!

I really enjoy when I ask the AI a question about my codebase and it spends 2 minutes thinking before giving me the "git grep" command I already ran before I asked the AI.

I assume it's because everyone in the administration has donkey brain, either from alcoholism, dementia, or just being a braying yes man
Is there some reason Hegseth and Trump chose to target the former astronaut, fighter pilot who's wife was a member of congress who survived getting shot in the head in an assassination attempt?

Very cool world we live in the where the richest man in the world feels it's important for his racist AI to also tell people he is very strong and has a large penis.

amazing new squirrel tailstyle just dropped #sqrlpix
Janet dropped by the porch roof cafe today after visiting the beauty shop for a snack and a chance to show off the latest trend in tail sculpting. The "floof funnel" sparks controversy (read: jealousy) in some squirrel dens, but when done correctly it's sexy, sassy, and striking.

I hate hate HATE that now any time I search for an animal picture, 90% of the pictures are absolutely horrendous AI.

Ah, the joy of starting a new job and having to watch several hours of extremely cringe inducing dramatic readings of PowerPoint presentations featuring what appear to be budget versions in of some of your favorite sitcom characters.

I'm guessing that trains don't do this...
UK study: a car’s four tires churn out one trillion particles for every kilometer driven.

This means 80% of plastic in our bodies is likely from car tire dust contaminated with traces of oil, petrol, petrol exhaust & asphalt. No wonder Cancer rates are going up

I just realized, after half a decade, that my Nord keyboard (the red one all the cool kids play) can fit under my adjustable desk if I raise it just a teensy bit higher than I normally prefer.

Now I can practice my music while I wait for my code to compile and tests to run. Game. Changer.

ICE in Portland detained comedian Robbie Roadsteamer yesterday. Every comedian should go to their nearest ICE facility and roast them mercilessly. My wife was down there yesterday and he wasn't doing anything besides being an obnoxious Boston guy.

Maybe the Dems shouldn't send their emails begging for money from an account named "Dem Collapse". Just saying.

@unraveledpress.com & other press have been threatened, shot with less-lethals and arrested while reporting on federal immigration activities in Chicagoland and on the resulting protests at Broadview.

I'm now at a hearing asking the federal court to rein ICE & co in. I'll let you know how it goes.
Well, yeah, we're suing ICE.

This wasn't really a hard decision. As little faith as we have in institutions, we recognize the value of drawing visible lines in the sand. We drew ours personally a while ago, but better late than never.

May every protester be freed and may this occupation end.

One of the worst parts about job hunting in 2025 is using LinkedIn, which is like Facebook for the most boring people imaginable who post terrible articles about why your hair (facial or otherwise) either should or shouldn't look exactly like your profile picture.

TLDR: Judge Immergut GRANTS a 2nd TRO blocking the Trump admin from sending ANY federalized troops from ANY state into Oregon/Portland. (Full hearing thread below)
Judge: That's what I'll do. Prohibit federalization or deployment of any NG troops into Oregon. For all reasons in prior opinion. Deployment of federalized military is ultra vires and contrary to law, violating Title 10, section 12406. I also find it's likely that defendants violate 10th Amendment.

Reporting from war-torn Portland, OR:

This morning, I brewed my wife and me some delicious Portland-roasted coffee using my hand grinder and aeropress. Then I spent some time practicing my jazz ukulele.

I'm making vegan tacos for lunch, if I don't get distracted by the squirrels out my window.

They really think everybody who thinks they're awful is getting paid to say so? I'm happy to hate Trump for free, he's just such an awful person.
BREAKING

The DOJ has instructed more than a half dozen U.S. attorney’s offices to draft plans to investigate George Soros and his foundation.

Possible charges included racketeering, arson, wire fraud and material support for terrorism, according to the directive.

It's why they're pretending not to notice both parties are obsessed with creating "Dynasties", like the Bushes, the Clintons, or now, the Trumps. There's even talk of Michelle Obama running in the future, just because she's the wife of Barrack Obama.

Reject dynasties. The U.S. isn't a monarchy.

As someone who's searching for a job right now, I'm acutely aware of how I'm more qualified for these jobs than most of these people, and I'm not remotely qualified.
I guess the thing that keeps astonishing me is the degree to which it doesn't occur to them that anyone has to be good at anything
