This is a great messenger in general btw. Feels slightly more polished than Telegram, but with less bloat (but still does stickers, calls and read receipts).
Plus it's properly private. (Telegram does NOT use e2e encryption in most cases.)
What it does not have are asymmetric permissions and NFTs.

Apple Silicon macs store filesystem encryption keys in the Secure Enclave, so they're not available to the CPU.
If you're paranoid, you can make it even more secure: you can configure MacOS to hibernate and destroy the encryption key when you close the lid. It's slower and Touch ID won't work.
