I didn't even catch that she disappeared, that's amazingly dark considering the tone of the rest of the movie lol. He doesn't really have a good reason to do that, either, other than just to be evil.

I recently learned that there was a deleted scene which explains why that reporter suddenly disappears from the plot. It's because once the villain takes the Mask, he tosses her into a printing press that prints her own obituary with her blood.

...I kind of get why it was cut.

The film feels short, which in a way works since it means it doesn't drag, but it does feel like it underutilized a lot of the concepts. Comparing it to Roger Rabbit might not be fair, but boy, does that film take all its ideas to their full potential.

The CG has aged pretty badly and in a way, I kinda wish it got darker. No, not like the evil Mask in the last 10 minutes who barely does anything, I mean the zany cartoon antics should have had heftier consequences besides property damage and a tailpipe being shoved up someone's ass.

Having not seen The Mask since I was a kid, rewatching it today, well, it didn't hold up quite as well as I thought it would. The zany cartoon antics with the Mask make up maybe a third of the movie, and those were the best parts. Well, besides the cop dancing scene, that wasn't as fun.

For gamers out there, leaks like this means nothing without context.

It doesn't prove the in-game model is the same.
It could just be the LOD/low-res model from an aerial scene or main menu, a reference for mappers, a test model, or something completely different.
