Someone asked me this week if there was anything in particular I’d be taking from 2025. I couldn’t think of anything, unless it’s “The more things change, the more they stay the same.” I feel like I’ve seen it all. Nothing surprises me anymore. Is that what it means to be in one’s 40s?

On this day in 1874, Lucy Maud Montgomery was born.
She wrote 20 novels, 530 short stories, 500 poems and 30 essays. Her most famous book was Anne of Green Gables, which has sold 50 million copies in 36 languages.
She died in 1942 and is considered a Canadian icon.

Read an article stating that Bluesky will never have the amount of users that the other place does. As if that’s a bad thing? There’s something to be said about quality over quantity.
