very real among game devs, rarely public. i’m seeing one unfold publicly now, but don’t wanna draw attention to it. it’s sad. i want to say it’ll be ok, but in truth it won’t.

Look, it’s really straightforward to get a publisher as a new name indie in 2025. Simply do 95% of the work making and marketing your game, and if your metrics are trending towards almost certain success, a publisher will swoop in to promise the remaining 5%, deliver 3%, and collect 75%

I wish the Labour government would spend less time farting around about immigration and get on with useful stuff like taxing rich people, making trains not cost hundreds of quid a go and bolstering the NHS. That sort of stuff.

We used Basingstoke back in 2010... It's level 1 in Revenge of the Titans. I'd been stuck there for a year working for Sony, and figured it would be the first place up against the wall when the revolution came
