I guess we'll find out for sure after it's set up, but it seems to be alright. even if the intonation sucks, I'm sure it'll be good enough for me to get started with

I'm looking at getting an orange micro terror, but I wouldn't mind a cheap secondhand vox or marshall. until then, I'll either use what I have on hand or play unplugged. somebody else mentioned using a tube radio as an amp so I might try something clever like that

setup is the goal for today, still not 100% sure if I'll do it myself or have a shop do it. as for the amp, I'll either use the shitty little amp I have or I'll play unplugged until I can get my hands on a cheap amp I don't hate

So excited to have picked up my first electric guitar. It's not the best in the world, it needs some work and to be cleaned, but it was $30 and seems to be in decent condition :)

it might be, ik their website uses euros and uses european standards but I haven't tried to buy one. ditching the smartphone altogether would be nice if it weren't so much trouble

Fairphone seems to be a good choice for phones. I don't have one but it's probably what I'll get next time I upgrade

fwiw I don't think it is possible to build genAI in such a way that it benefits workers rather than capital because it is fundamentally based on non consensual extraction of labour to get going. what would it actually mean for the workers to own the means of production here
