Age-gating mandates are reshaping the internet in ways that are invasive, dangerous, and deeply unnecessary. But users are not powerless! We can challenge these laws, protect our digital rights, and build a safer digital world for all internet users, no matter their ages.

Drones are essentially flying police officers. “If I’m in my backyard, if I’m on my deck, do I expect that I have to encounter a law enforcement camera? I shouldn’t have to,” EFF’s Beryl Lipton told @TexasObserver.org. www.texasobserver.org/texas-dps-d...
Under Operation Lone Star, Texas State Police More than Doubled Their Drone Fleet
The Department of Public Safety has acquired an army of unmanned aerial vehicles—nearly as large as the U.S. Border Patrol's.

Larian’s usage of genAI is by no means close to the worst I’ve heard of (not a defense-just saying) but if companies can learn one thing from this backlash, I hope it’s that nobody wants this and you will actually EARN goodwill (with gamers AND creatives) by outright banning genAI usage.

Gonna be real, you dont need AI at all. Not with references, not with ideas, not to help you brainstorm, nothin. Not in games and especially NOT animation.

You dont need an ass-pat machine to help you and your brain. Ask someone who you trust to give you proper feedback without crushing you.

Even though we work on KOSA everyday, we didn’t know what bills would be in last weeks’ markup until 48 hours before the hearing.

This is the strategy- ram bills through before the public has had time to know what’s going on.

But you can always count on us to sound the alarm 🚨

Despite being incredibly easy to observe in surrounding mountain ranges, the Southwestern Speckled Rattlesnakes in the Sierra Estrella just southwest of Phoenix are harder to spot.

Both KOSA + COPPA 2.0 advanced through the committee on a partisan basis by Republicans BUT the fight isn’t over yet.

We’ll keep you posted on new developments. Next committee meeting on these bills will likely happen in January. In the meantime, keep the pressure on!

This is near 100% confirmation that Tesla won't get a permit to roll out FSD Supervised in Europe.

My hunch is that the Regulator needs Tesla's FSD data, which Tesla has refused to submit even to regulators in California since 2014.

I wonder what Tesla has to hide?

During his confirmation hearing, RFK Jr. swore under oath that he would not remove or alter CDC language stating that vaccines do NOT cause autism.

He lied.
The CDC website under RFK Jr. now argues that we “can’t say vaccines don’t cause autism” because studies haven’t ruled out every possible scenario.
It’s wild to see this misunderstanding of science on a federal health website, but it’s also an opportunity to explain how the scientific process works

Our kids deserve classrooms, teachers, and opportunity — not a government that diverts billions into a Department of War. Trump is once again choosing power and punishment over people.
This administration is dismantling the Department of Education and creating a Department of War.

What does this say about the future they’re creating for our children?

This small rattlesnake was spotted by a homeowner who was doing some landscaping. It was initially seen, however, in the side yard as it slid past him and disappeared. Marissa arrived and eventually found it coiled at the base of this palm.

The homeowner was watering some plants when she spotted the Mojave Rattlesnake coiled under a plant by a drip system. There was only a small patch of suitable habitat left, around a half mile away, that was actively being bulldozed when Marissa went to pick up this snake.

This neonate Western Diamondback Rattlesnake was found coiled up in a Buckeye backyard. The little one doesn't quite know where to go yet, and they often don't make it through their first season. Marissa helped it find a better spot to hopefully see its first spring in a few months.

A late night call to Queen Creek had Maggie catching the heaviest rattlesnake she's seen all season. This big Western Diamondback Rattlesnake was looking for a way out of the backyard when she arrived, but couldn't fit! She helped get it to a better spot outside of the neighborhood.

Back in September, homeowners called with a baby rattlesnake on the front patio. They were about to have a birthday party, so it was important to have a safe area before the kids arrived. Maggie went out and retrieved this young Mojave Rattlesnake and got it to a better spot.

Arizona Black Rattlesnakes are amazingly variable in appearance across their range. Most that are seen and photographed are in the relatively well-populated areas of the Mogollon Rim between Flagstaff, Prescott, and Payson. In other parts of their range, however, they look a bit less familiar.
