An illustration by Simini Blocker. The illustration is of me (a white girl with long brown hair and bangs, wearing a pink and white striped sweater and an orange and white polka dot skirt) running with a teetering pile of books in my arms. Books fall off the pile and fall behind me. My cat, Pancakes, prances along behind me.

Still thinking about a TikTok I saw a few days ago featuring a woman who had purchased every tape, CD and vinyl variant of The Life of a Showgirl and couldn't listen to a single one because she didn't own anything to play them with. Capitalism is a disease.

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

Their relationship was the absolute sweetest!

I was kicking my feet as I read Love and Other Conspiracies the other night. He's an earnest, thoughtful, enthusiastic golden retriever passionate about cryptids. She's an offbeat skeptic healing after an abusive relationship. They show each other the care they need and deserve. #BookSky
The book cover of Love and Other Conspiracies by Mallory Marlowe. The book cover features an illustration of a white man with brown hair, glasses and a sleeve of tattoos on his left arm, holding a white woman with bright blue hair. Her arms are wrapped around his neck and one of her feet is kicked playfully into the air. A silhouette of bigfoot looms in the background behind them.
