I will never understand people's impulse and desire to repost the words of that cesspool of human waste and depravity here on Bluesky. Why inflict that on others and help to spread such virulent hatred and evil?

Pieces: 1,000
Brand: Cobble Hill
Title: Christmas Cats
Artist: Diane Dempsey

This puzzle was an absolute blast to complete! I loved the retro mid-century modern style and vibrant colour palette. Bonus points for all the cats!

Rob Reiner was a good guy. He made a lot of movies about good guys, in worlds where not everyone was good and you didn’t have to be good. He made movies about people trying. He was angry, as many hopeful people are. He knew the world could be better and he wanted it to be. His death is devastating.

The cultural impact of Rob Reiner cannot be understated. Legend isn't big enough a word. It goes to 11. You can't handle the truth. As you wish. I'll have what she's having. I'm your number one fan. You guys wanna see a dead body? The very idea of a bucket list. The West Wing.

All from his movies.

I don’t understand what is happening all the time and everywhere.

My heart is broken.

Absolutely heartbroken about Rob Reiner. I don’t have the words to describe how much his films meant to me throughout my life.

Just finished Good Spirits by B.K. Borison and it ruined me in the best possible way. Logically I know it's not perfect (Nolan has seen The Muppet Christmas Carol but hasn't heard of Nordstrom or the Daytona 500?!) but I DON'T CARE. To quote P&P: In such cases as these a good memory is unpardonable.

We just finished our annual Christmas re-watch of Pride and Prejudice (1995). A perfect adaptation with flawless casting. Give me Jennifer Ehle as Elizabeth Bennet or give me death.

Went to bed dreading hearing the death count of one mass shooting, woke up to a horrific death count of another. What world have we wrought. Children studying. Worshipers celebrating.

Misogyny is evil
Racism is evil
Ableism is evil
Homophobia and transphobia are both evil

A deeply sad morning, with heartbreaking mass killings in Providence & Sydney.

Innocent students killed in a classroom. At least 11 people by gunmen at a Hanukkah celebration.

Too many guns here. Frightening levels of antisemitism globally. So much senseless violence & hate.

Made my grandmother’s peanut butter cookies tonight and they came out the perfect texture: a little crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. I’ll be riding this high until the new year! 🥳😂

I needed a break from the Christmas romance I'd been reading, so I picked up The Case of the Contraband Closet yesterday and it was a delight! Inspired by Noir detective fiction, it was the perfect blend of mystery and contemporary issues (friendship breakups, first crushes, divorced parents, etc).

I recently treated myself to a couple of new Christmas vinyl records, including Ella Fitzgerald's "Ella Wishes You A Swinging Christmas". I can't express how magical it was to listen to it this morning while I sipped my coffee and snow fell gently outside. A perfect soundtrack for a perfect moment.

I'm running for president on the platform that anyone who writes a review of a YA book and says something to the effect of "it reads young" is forever banned off the internet.

Does anyone have a remote page turner for Kindle that they love? I bought one for my mom last Christmas and it stopped working almost immediately. I have no idea what brand(s) are trustworthy or reliable and there are SO MANY to choose from. #BookSky

The economy is FAR WORSE than the government is acknowledging. This holiday season, if you know folks struggling, don't be afraid to leave a mystery box of groceries or some gifts from Santa for the kids on their porch. Maybe drop a grocery store gift card in their mailbox.

Be the Christmas magic.
