Facebook's pushing of AI posts of movies or actors or whatever else, pretending to genuine reminisces, is so insidious to me. It is this bizarre attempt to approximate humans that reeks of the uncanny.

Is there any good thing that AI supposedly makes better cause all that’s ever been reported about it is how actually makes bad things worse.

What — ANOTHER book release? Well, yeah! Bizarrely, I got my very first hardcover editions of both the STAR WARS: KNIGHT ERRANT novel and the comics within three hours of each other today. Let's walk through the releases, starting with next Wednesday's OLD REPUBLIC OMNIBUS 2 from Marvel!

“Merger after merger in the media industry has harmed workers, diminished competition and free speech, and wasted hundreds of billions of dollars better invested in organic growth. Combining [them] or another major studio or streamer would be a disaster for writers, for consumers & for competition"

It’s tiresome at this point, but again, their entire pitch is “wouldn’t it be great if there were no such things as talent, craft, and skill,” and what that means is a bland, slop-filled world. www.businessinsider.com/marc-andrees...

I don't want to see the path to becoming a filmmaker easier. I want it to become better! The world doesn't need more "content". It needs more art.

I was late to see this news, but very sad to hear of Drew Stuzan's passing. His art truly was incredible. Human craftmanship matters, and we must never lose sight of that.

Alien Earth was surprisingly good! Not perfect... But it's the first time since Prometheus that the Alien franchise did something genuinely interesting. I loved that the show featured other alien creatures aside from the xenomorph. It made this universe feel large and mysterious again.

My life is linked to Steven Spielberg, in a way. My first movie was E.T. My childhood was Indy and then JP. Schindler when I was 13 and I was opening to the world. Ryan at 18. Munich 26. I saw Bridge of Spies this year and it was like he was talking about the world today. I owe so much to Spielberg.
