Labour is losing many more votes to left-wing parties than it is to right-wing parties, and yet, despite that fact, Labour is moving towards the right to try to win those voters who have gone in that direction, which makes no fuckin sense at all

They really are stupid

people in the UK are so poorly informed

A Survation poll found that a quarter of voters believe people crossing in small boats make up the largest share of migrants; in reality they account for 2%.

Here is a problem.

The UK has low economic growth, low investment, faltering public services, rising poverty.

Despite failures, govts cling to same policies - privatisation, PFI, wage/benefit cuts, no curbs on profiteering, won't redistribute.

UK is stuck in that loop.

Why do govts not rethink?
How successive government have created a new rentier economy
Governments appease corporations and the super-rich by following the old policies which benefit a few.

Your Bretwalda's treasure hunt.

Episode one.

If you took the Newcastle to Carlisle train but alighted at Bardon Mill.

Then, crossed the tracks walking south, you'd come to a footbridge over the South Tyne river.

Under that footbridge, three words are carved.

Yes they are – it’s surprising how rare it is that people ask what’s needed! I’ve been trying to explain ME to people I had thought were very intuitive for years but they aren’t really getting it and they don’t put in much effort or ask anything to learn. I’m going to keep trying for now because…1/2

… I know it’s not from malice and they are good people, but it does hurt when someone you’ve known almost all your life or that you thought you were close to doesn’t seem to give you much thought when you need them. Really makes you appreciate the people who make the effort – they’re real gems!

If successful, Elbit’s consortium would be responsible for training as many as 60,000 members of the UK military.

Scotland also has:
Public ownership of water, lower water bills than England's.
No university tuition fees for local students.
No prescription charges, abolished in 2011.
No two child benefit cap from March 2026.

England must follow.

Some routes will see fares fall by as much as 50% at busy times, but on others prices will be unchanged.

Some especially good friends welcome being 'trained' a little.

Like
'How do you prefer to be asked?'

Self training friends are extraordinarily rare.

No one KNOWS until you tell them.
