My local art museum has this giant painting of a cat in their collection which I love (and have a poster of on my wall)
I went in there to see it but it wasn't on display BUT then I asked a custodian about it, and they took me to the art storage in the basement so I could see it! VERY sweet of them!

Statement text:

"This story has been a painful one for our family. We've known Neil Gaiman for decades. Ivy and I shared fond memories of talking with him long into the night in the late ‘80s; he was at our second child's birth in 1995; he spoke at Ivy’s memorial in 2022… We nearly always saw him at his best."

"But now we've heard from women who saw Neil Gaiman at his worst and I believe them. It's hard going, but I suggest reading Lila Shapiro's story in full, and finding the original multi-part podcast that the story grew out of."

"It's a damning story, but not a simple one. When read in full (and especially when heard in the podcast, including Neil’s own voice) I can still find traces of the person I knew. But ultimately, this is no longer his story to tell. It belongs to the women now; to Scarlett, Caroline, and the rest. And how they want this story to end should matter most."

why is most criticism of using the term "transandrophobia" just thinly-veiled transphobia? I think people are allowed to coin terms that speak to their experiences, and trans men already face so much erasure, I do support highlighting this stuff
