I have two cars, neither of which now work/can be driven/can be fixed, the oven has packed up and my wife is about to be made redundant. A sister who I can’t stand is coming up to visit next week, Mum more infirm than ever, Christmas coming. I’m going to leave here for a while. Peace and love all.

It’s a northern thing from Oldham specifically, but you’ll also find it in Rochdale (where this photo is from). It just minced beef, onions and gravy, with suet pastry. It’s cooked in a cloth, which gives it a distinctive look and texture. You haven’t lived until you’ve had Rag, Chips & Peas 👌

Lost none of its appeal since first seeing it as a kid. Sinister Hammer classic, transporting the original idea of the zombie from the Caribbean to Cornwall. No flesh-eating corpses here.
