I help set up smart devices for clients with disabilities, and some are genuinely very helpful for them, but it has also convinced me that unless I physically need voice control for lights and stuff they are more trouble than they are worth.

Internet went out, now your ceiling light won't turn off.

The Democrats need to get a hell of a lot of cameras on the White House and plaster the photos everywhere. It's not just the brazen symbol of a megalomaniac destroying national heritage; it's happening during a government shutdown when ordinary people aren't getting paid. Make every American see it.

Disabled people should be allowed to get married without losing our healthcare. We shouldn’t have to choose between weddings and staying alive. In 2025 we still have no marriage rights or property rights. We never have, and it’s total shit. Fuck Eugenics, we deserve so much better.
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?
I mean, it is technically possible if drug companies were willing to pay us for buying their drugs.
Great art, but doesn't really look like an 0/4. Too angular and fluid.
I wonder if it was originally for a 3/2 or something similar.
Also, similar to the bodyshaming stuff I see it a lot with the bashing of Trump. Mock/criticize him for his choice to post on social media a rambling screed in all caps at 2 in the morning, not because he spelled a few words wrong.
A lot of the time I don't think it's 100% intentional, but still really annoying.
I have trouble with words like "lose and loose" and "fury and furry" (only 60% sure which is which). Don't need people making a sarcastic comment for the thousandth time whenever I mess it up.
No, nobody is, even the avid pro-gun people, they just aren't as willing to restrict gun rights to help stop it.
But gun reform is harder in the US than the UK. Our history and what guns have meant, how they are part of our politics, and most of all just the crazy number of them we already have.
While it does point to the lie of a bunch of 2nd amendment folks I am glad a bunch of random people have not decided to get into a shooting war with the US army, that won't end well.
Maybe things will get to that, but I hope not, and at this stage it would just support the fascist claim to power.
Saying all this as someone with a diagnosed spelling disability (in an extended family where many have the same disability). I grew up pre smartphone, carried a pocket spell checker at school, and when posting to forums I usually typed everything in Word first to check it.
And a follow up: it is BS that being bad at reading and spelling is seen as a personal fault, while being bad at math is more accepted.
"I'm just not a math person." "Yeah, me neither."
Not saying we should mock the discalculeists out there, just more equivalence.
Now, if someone posts a giant mash of disjointed text and punctuation that's a bit different. If you are trying to communicate with someone you need to put in some effort so they understand you and basic spell check is on everything these days.
A personal one: perfect spelling doesn't equal intelligence. Some people have disabilities that make it hard to spell or have English as a second language. Don't mock them for random typos or mixing up 2 similar words.

This is probably fine, a bunch of Italian recipes use white beans, although the picture looks very soupy.
However, as someone from New England where "baked beans" means they are cooked with molasses, the initial idea was not pleasant.
Not really the point but why do they have a fake/useless keyboard? It's just solid grey with nothing on it.
I realized, they are so minimalist, it doesn't look like their keyboard has any letters on it.
I can't imagine him ever getting a campaign past session 2. As a DM you have to a) be creative b) understand how the systems work and c) put in effort to create something. He can't just come up with a vague idea and pay more competent people to make it (and the complain they aren't doing it right)

Perhaps instead of Columbus Day we can celebrate Columbian Exchange Day where we celebrate the food pairings that had never been possible before, peppers and onions, chocolate and coffee, basil and tomatoes.
I might have come off a bit too flippant, just been seeing a lot of people blaming it on "hasbro buying wizards" when that was a) before many of those people were born and b) I think really over simplifies things.
I think what you said implied an immediacy and inevitability that I don't feel is the case. Yes, it's a company trying to make money and not our friend but, Wizards designers had a long leash for about 20 years to make the game they wanted. Many other changes/choices influenced this shift.
