The Hollow Man

Never trust an avoidant
To keep their promises—
They waver and never keep their word,
Weak praises— weak nature,
Their fraud disguised in smiles,
Their actions backed by fear—
A fear they cast on others
Poor things they tear asunder.
A missing piece in their demeanor,
Is a victim they can unravel—
Until they're hollow just like them...
Just like I was.....

Teatime

The kettle is barely hot, even to my touch.
I placed some leaves inside, not ruminating—
You're there laughing and smiling, it's too much.
I'm here, still living, breathing, unpacking.
Just grabbed a book and sat beneath a tree,
You're sharing pics and smiles with friends.
Can't let this story die, but wanted to be free—
I'm happy with my purchase but....it sends
A message that I can't be with you, it hurts.
Oh well, my tea is ready. Let me pour a cup.

It's been ages since I last revisited my love for reading. I tried to do it a few months after my first ex broke up with me but I didn't have the mental clarity to stay focused back then. Now, I do.

We have a storm passing my area this weekend....

Time to pack clothing just in case we get flooded like last year's tropical storm Kristine.

Forecast track of Tropical Depression Ramil as of Friday, October 17, 2025. It will strengthen into a tropical storm by October 18, 2025 before slamming into the Bicol Region as a tropical storm by afternoon of October 18.

When I Finally Forget

I thought I was thinking
About that interaction we had
But I could barely recall blinking,
I didn't think it would be this bad.
I reach for wisps I cannot touch—
Small fragments I couldn't hold,
White walls around me keeping me clutch.
OD they said, another attempt, I'm told.
But I don't remember—it's too hard
To try to keep recollecting.

If the sun refused to shine—
Today it didn't, I don't even know
What the sun feels like.

You lingered and you whispered—
Your ghost of a kiss, still tapered.
Still thinking about our interaction
For the last few weeks, all your actions
Sinking deeper in the depths of my
Memory keeper, I only know your lie—
And if it all ended tomorrow, pretending

Where Does The Sky Start?

Where sadness breaks and sunrise starts—
Until I lose the storm I'm forced to bore.

Where Does The Sky Start?

Where storms make way for sunshine,
The stars peer through the clouds,
They're something I can reach, the line
Where I can remove the shrouds
I wore upon myself, a veil that parts
And reveals the stone mask I wore—
Where sadness breaks and sunrise starts—
Until I lose the storm I'm forced to bore.
Where does the sky start?
It started when the sea made way
For mist to vanish and stars had lingered—
A contrast peeling the beauty, made way
For startling sparkles, my gaze have flickered

Beyond what I have felt within the moment,
Set sail for starry futures the ocean lent.

Working the graveyard shift has done wonders...damage to my sleep schedule but it has its merits.

I've been awake since 1 AM ish, and I did my waking rituals (eating, brushing teeth, baths), then I sat for three hours writing...

And now it's almost 4:33 in the morning. 😂😱

I'm thinking of making my very first poetry collection. I have 25-ish poems written over the course of several weeks, and maybe it's time I refine them and compile them.

My working title is "When My Purple Met Your Blue"
