I don’t know, but I do suspect it is done as a calculated strategy to provoke Venezuela into some act that can be (mis)construed as an attack which would allow actual war to be declared — public opinion tends to give wide latitude to Presidents at war, and concurrent bumps in approval.

I’m not trying to be obtuse. The screenshots posted said not just data usually contained in a doxxing (full name, SSN, address, etc) were obtained, but numerous unique passwords for the victim’s accounts as well. Someone suggested that’s because DOGE exported government data from SSA.

Those are data, not metadata - and not exclusive to the feds. And I still don’t see how any or all of that gets you all of someone’s (by their own telling) unique-for-each-site/service passwords.

Maybe. Most spyware requires an affirmative action on the part of the intended victim: clicking a link in a phishing email, etc. There aren’t a lot of zero-click attacks out there that we know of, and the ones that exist tend to be expensive and exclusive.

I don’t understand: how could all of libcrusher’s passwords have been obtained? Doxxing involves what is mostly public information (if somewhat difficult to find/compile). But password information? From different sites? How would that have been obtained?

OK, but here’s my question, @washingtonpost.com - is it true? Did the US actually kill 6 drug smugglers? Or are they just fisherman like the first bombed boat was? If they were smugglers, what are the ramifications of Trump just deciding he can unilaterally bomb them? You know…journalism?

Statement on Recent Ceasefire and Hostage Release

Yesterday, after holding our breath in anticipation and hope that a ceasefire deal would be reached, we saw Israeli and Palestinian hostages being reunited with their loved ones. But let us be clear, this ceasefire does not mark the end, but the beginning of the arduous but necessary work ahead. We are already seeing violations of the ceasefire and Israel is once again preventing the entry of aid. There won’t be true and lasting peace for Palestinians or Israelis without accountability and an end to the abuse and oppression that has persisted for 77 years. Across all of those years, our tax dollars have been used not to fund hospitals and schools right here at home, but to wreak havoc and destruction. And recently, for the last two years, fund this genocide. True and lasting peace for all people only comes when all those who have enabled these atrocities are held to account, the apartheid ends and freedom, safety and dignity are prioritized for all.
