To be clear, that was very much a rhetorical "Why??", ha. I'm forever vexed by how much people go to bat for this stuff.

Eugh. Why??

Once again, Dan absolutely killed it with every piece he's done for Decree, and I'm chomping at the bit to get them in the book.

I remade Ruin Masters' hexmap of Caldarox using ripped images from the rulebook PDF. No reference for scale so this is my best guess at 6-mile hexes. Gonna play a solo game and see what fun stuff falls out of the (many) random tables the game provides.

I should be clear that I think the latter is a lot more appealing.

Nordic-inspired RPGs are like "You are a BADASS VIKING WARRIOR selected by ODIN HIMSELF"

OTOH actual Scandi RPGs are like "In this fantasy world, you are a normal guy. Life is shit, it's always fucking raining and there's a 60% chance of being clubbed to death by a troll. Ducks don't wear pants."

%PCRank Séamus, I believe it is your fate to recover the long-lost artifact Skull-Crusher. When you have this legendary weapon in hand, bring it to me so I may bless it.

Describing a D&D hack as 'worthless' is crazy. Systems discourse truly baffles me at times.

In the Light of a Setting Sun is a rules-lite game of bigger-than-life cowpokes on an unforgiving frontier. It it, you can play as cowherds on a long cattle drive, gunslingers solving problems in dusty border towns, or no-good outlaws on the run from a bloodthirsty sheriff. (1/?)

Evil, you say? Self-righteous fool! Spare me your sanctimonious lecturing! There is no good in the world, save that which we give ourselves. But enough talk. I will show you the true meaning of power!

Oh for sure jury duty as an institution has big flaws, but honestly in the jury service I attended the other week, the issue wasn't the people so much as the Crown prosecution bringing a case for which they presented *no actual evidence whatsoever*. It was genuinely appalling.
