I have come to believe that 🇺🇸 is unlikely to change its dark path in my lifetime. I hope I'm wrong about that, but despite the sacrifices & protests of tens of millions of resisting US citizens, the needle of authoritarianism keeps moving further toward the extreme. 🧵 1/-

"No. Why would I want to undermine the economy, the environment, artistic expression, and human dignity, all at the same time?"
That's what all Gen AI is: a cancer that makes a very few rich people wealthier at the expense of all.

In my Stranger Things headcanon, this guy is behind it all... the secret final big bad. He's behind everything and knows about all of it. That was my guess after Season 1. I don't think they'll do it, but if they did... awesome misdirect.

I've been sick today with a stomach bug. But I wanted to take a second and let you know that my adventures in Atlantic Canada continue, and that I'm very happy here. I feel fortunate. It's a friendly, beautiful place & I have hope that I might be able to live the rest of my life in a free country. 🇨🇦
