Red sky warning

When a US President uses AI to don a crown, fly a King Trump plane over US cities, and dump shit on the Americans below, I think a red sky warning is appropriate

Perhaps it's time to boycott Disney. Many may already fear to travel to Orlando due to Florida's new vaccine policy, but free speech seems even more fundamental.

People missing an important point about folks getting fired for whatever they said about Charlie Kirk: Americans are being conditioned to be snitches on their fellow citizens who don’t toe a party line on what is “allowed” to be expressed. And employers are going along. It’s the new secret police

“ ….our leaders, media and commentators have gotten this week’s big story wrong, they have gotten wrong in the worst way possible. They have made violence from the government and from the far right more likely. They have made addressing the real causes of what happened this week far less likely.”
Stop. The coverage you are following of the Kirk shooting and its aftermath has been, almost everywhere, deeply misleading and dangerous. open.substack.com/pub/davidrot...

Ro Khanna's defense of Graham Linehan is appalling. He advocated extreme violence against trans women for using the bathroom....Zero percent chance Khanna would defend the "free speech" to make violent threats against any other group.

This article speaks the hard truth that many are unwilling to recognize, but their willful ignorance does not mitigate the horrors that continue to rage in Gaza AND. the West Bank.

Boo Harvard! Way to cave to the Frumpster.
Harvard is systematically erasing even mention of anything DEI or LGBTQ related. They took down the page mentioning me being recognized by Vogue's forces for change along with years of clinical communications about serving indigent communities.

This is how I feel today. What has our beloved country come to? For shame on Trump and all his little Trumpettes for their immoral grasping of power and ill gotten gains.

I've been asked why a thread with Indigenous scholarship matters. If you knew how often we are written about, while our own contribution is not considered, or if you knew how often people say there are no Indigenous scholars in their field, when they do exist, I hope it would chill you. That's why.
The following thread contains 201 open access articles, books, chapters & reports written and led by First Nations’ researchers. We write our own research across all areas. The order is random and ranges across disciplines, because of course it does.

Sen. Kaine is right. "The American people have no interest in sending servicemembers to fight another forever war in the Middle East."

Congress must pass this this War Powers Resolution to prevent unauthorized U.S. involvement in a disastrous war with Iran. @kaine.senate.gov

Of course it is a scam.

They are using stochastic terrorism to create/amplify a trans panic as a distraction for their grift and power grab.

We are not just the target, but also the scapegoat to achieve their goals.

America’s Anti-Trans Panic Is a Scam
While the current wave of discriminatory policies will do obvious harm to the transgender community, they’re also meant to distract from the myriad ways we’re all getting fleeced.

I saw Laverne speak to a student group and was in awe at her intellect and also her warmth with the students. She's a passionate advocate for feminist issues within which she includes trans folks.
Happy Birthday Laverne Cox! May 29, 1972

The actress and producer made history as the first openly transgender person nominated for a Primetime Emmy. From Orange Is the New Black to national advocacy, her work has reshaped media and elevated the conversation around gender and identity.
