That's when I found out it was illegal to have a hidden gate in our town of Wolfville. Also, the first I heard our town mentioned on TV.
Didn't know that one 🤣.

I remember the old show "this is the law" where they had the person doing some stuff and you had to guess which law they had broken. Often difficult to tell

I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

Here is another example where scientists have generated systemic immunity against human papilloma virus using nasal delivery of a cationic nanogel containing the HPV16 E7 protein as an antigen. In addition, an anti-tumor effect was seen. Game-changing!

Some good news on the bat conservation front. It's my understanding that our little brown #bat here in #NS is increasing at about 2% a year from their crash 10 or so years ago.
The extraordinary benefits to which human ingenuity and inquiry can be put - probiotic treatment boosts bat survival from white-nose syndrome, a catastrophic fungal infection. Just as pro-biotics balance your tum, so they balance a bat's chance at life. Thanks for this incredible work, WCS!
🦇ICYMI: a great video on our work developing a "probiotic" to help bats survive white-nose syndrome infections. This beautifully shot video also gives a good primer on what the probiotic is all about. This was 2yrs ago -good news...our studies show the probiotic is working!
