With respect, I’ve seen nostalgia comics try to act as a lost season or add-on season of a show, and those often fail because they exclude any potential new readers from discovering the property. Accessibility is critical when the last episode aired decades ago.

Dynamite is doing a Captain Planet book and it's a reboot, which is a shame because I think there's more power to doing a revival where it's been 30 years and the Planeteers and the Captain himself have to carry the weight of the world not listening

The beauty of these WB-owned worlds is that they have many properties that could've been brought in as part of the DC multiverse if they really wanted them to be.

Fortunately, we're seeing how many of those worlds would look in comic form thanks to Dynamite Entertainment.

Sad to see it over but SO GLAD to have been along for the ride. Absolutely delightful to revisit one of my favorite shows through a new, more modern lens full of heart and action that keeps to the roots of the original appeal.
