You could substitute so many Labour initiatives for "Motability cuts" and this headline would still make sense. What a tragedy this Government is.

The irony is that the prototype interiors for HS2 trains include significant space for bikes to be stored, without hanging them vertically.

HS2 is better for cyclists as a railway line, because it’s the only way we’ll get capacity for bikes on trains again.

To be clear, Jones is breaching the Green Party's code of conduct here. GPEW policy is now explicitly pro-HS2 and high speed rail, and at minimum she should state at much in her tweet.

“It sounded as if he was suggesting that songs about gassing Jews, Asians and Black people amount to no more than “banter”. That’s not schoolboy Farage talking, but the Farage of 2025.”

Yes. Same racism. Now weaponised by the wealth and power of the far right.

At its heart, it's so simple: "The government ... spends the money into existence in the economy and then taxes it back out."

We've suffered 46 years of neoliberalism and 17 years of austerity because this basic fact was hidden from us in a blather of national credit cards and black holes.
Isn't it refreshing when someone actually does nuance and detail?

Our conversation about immigration is framed entirely on Nigel Farage’s terms.
Labour has completely capitulated the ground to the far right, the racism & the hate.

We no longer have a conversation AT ALL about how we need immigration & when we cut it, we pay the price. #r4today

I just have this feeling that support for Reform and Nigel Farage is about to start decreasing. There are so many more questions about Nigel Farage's association with Russia and his past racism that have not been in the media or news until now. He is at last being scrutinised by our press and media.

1. It would appear that in recent reporting, the BBC is now using the phrase "biological male who identifies as a woman" when they mean to talk about a transgender woman.

This is an incredibly demeaning way to talk about transgender women in news pieces.
