Lots of very good treatments available today. Try to get to a center with a myeloma specialist if possible. Easiest suggestion without knowing location is to find the closest NCI designated comprehensive cancer center. The @imfmyeloma.bsky.social and @themmrf.bsky.social have good resources

Absolutely agree and you started with one of my pet peeves of the random XY distribution that is clearly BS and gets a good R2 or even worse 0.33 but with some damn pValue < 0.05 that gets a random paint splatter in a published paper as biological truth

Definitely hard to measure, but here is our best attempt from a new benchmarking paper to be preprinted in the next few weeks. Element appears to be the current king of homopolymers. Illumina does worse than HiFi beyond 20 bp. (This is all measured on human DNA)

Hard day I suspect. If that ends up being the diagnosis make sure to find a reputable myeloma center, outcomes are so much better now overall but management and outcomes are better in centers with disease experts

As an integrated kit, really system with informatics TSO is impressive for a panel offer. What surprised me recently paying to validate clincal WGS findings was the list price per sample cost is a lot more than whole exome kits

But not all mutations block all anti-BCMA therapies from binding and we at @tgenresearch.bsky.social and @cityofhope.bsky.social are integrating the known binding of these agents into our whole genome sequencing reports to ensure patients get the therapy that will work best for them at that point
