My employer, Dartmouth College, today boasts it's 1st Ivy "to launch AI at an institutional scale." It is doing this by partnering--"more than a collaboration"--with Anthropic, a company that stole the books of many faculty, me included, which many of us are suing.

I can't stop thinking about the purported drug smugglers being murdered by the US military. The punishment for drug offenses isn't the death penalty. This is just bloodlust and men in suits playing with lives they don't care about. It's truly grotesque and gravely compromises this country.

"All is lost" narratives are popular because people generally do not want to take action. Taking action is tiring so if all is lost, you are off the hook. Nothing is more seductive than not having to do anything.

As a mascot, I see human love as beautiful and wonderful.
I love you all today as well♡

I know it sounds oversimplified but everything really does come down to the link between money and power and who gets to control who.

this is why we say to not comply in advance. don't just hand it over, and don't just keep running. they don't care which of these you do, so long as you don't fight.
