12 year old theory of government continues to bare fruit.
Trump has shut down the govt. Prices continue to rise. 37 million Americans could lose healthcare

And Trump is using White House resources and taxpayer funds to produce outrageous content like this.

It just reinforces so many reasons 7 million people attended 2,650 No Kings rallies yesterday

People die, a lot of people die.
The reality is we are fucked in the short term. No one is coming to save us, you have to save yourself. Long term these systems break down, but not after tremendous damage and death. We are in it, but we kinda put ourselves there.
It's not that simple for them though. They move to fast they get caught by loyalists and killed. They even hint at dissatisfaction, they may foment rebellion inside their ranks which could get their soldiers killed.

Basically it's the old saying "you aim for the king, don't miss."
For instance if at the No Kings rally Federals start firing wantonly into crowds, which provokes more unrest, then maybe generals or officers might mobilize. Even then, they need troops in the right place, logistics networks ready, cadre of officers and troops to buy in, etc.
It's a matter of planning. A coup isn't something you do because you are mad, it needs coordination and a good reason. Most coups happen in response to the public or another force pushing them.
Who's your favorite Jedi? (Wrong answers only)
Which is a blessing in and of itself.
Econ 101 brained.
There are basically only two positions in the debate about AI.
1. I’ve barely invested any time in learning how to use it effectively. AI sucks.
2. I’ve invested in learning how to use this tool. Holy cow, it’s transformational.

Position #1 has lower barriers to entry.
You're an Econ Professor, you should know that simplifying the world into 2 options is REALLY bad when you apply it to IRL stuff.
We are a deeply unserious country.
So the president of the United States plans to meet with Putin in Hungary, and when a reporter asked where that plan came from, this was the reply of the United States government www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-...
I mean you could, but it'd be illegal.

So maybe horror isn't your thing. My latest SCIENCE FICTION novella, ALL THE ASH WE LEAVE BEHIND, is available as an audiobook from Simon & Schuster wherever you get your audiobooks! Hope y'all love it.
I believe everyone, outside of absolutely essential services, should have the federal holidays off work.

If I can avoid it I don't go shopping on federal holidays. If I have a federal holiday off others should as well, so I do what little I can to support the economy on holidays.
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

Nobody ever says "I wish I'd played more video games" when they die. Video games haven't been around long enough. I may be the first to say it.
That's how you know he terrifies them, because they know not only will he win but he'll make places like CNN bleed money.
This is the weakest smear job I've seen in a while. Guess when you fired all your journalists in favor of printing government propaganda you are just left with shit researchers and writers 🤷‍♂️
