A quote from 2017 when Ange was the Australian National Team manager.

I agree with @profspur.bsky.social
Many of the current Spurs players actually won a European trophy last season.
Some quality players were added to the squad over summer.
Despite some current injuries, the Spurs squad has many quality players and is obviously stronger than last year.
The main reason we finished 17th last season was catastrophic lack of squad depth. We fixed that this past summer. Now some of our fans are saying our players are shit so they don’t have to admit they were wrong about last season and about Frank. I see you.

Even in the depth of the injury crisis in January 2025, the Spurs players still had belief in their manager.
Before the Elfsborg game, Deki was asked whether Ange was the right man for the job.

If SA's first innings versus India lasts just 10 more overs, it will have persisted for the same number of overs (140) as the entire 1st Ashes Test in Perth.

Ben Stokes noted that the players who were brave and took the game on did well in the 1st Test.
Hopefully we see some bravery amd progressive football from Spurs in the NLD as well.

Travis Head will get all the accolades and deservedly so. However the English middle order are all high quality batsmen. Those wickets from Boland and Starc in the English 2nd innings were absolutely critical.
Fantastic Test Match cricket.

Great sportsmanship from Ben Stokes to run over to congratulate Travis Head as he leaves the field after holing out.
Credit to the Barmy Army as well for appreciating great batting.

One of the great Ashes 100s from Travis Head. 100 of 69 balls.
Even the Barmy Army applauding.

Great 50 from Travis Head.
Really good start for this run chase.

Travis Head to open the batting.
I like that strategy. Early runs could put the pressure on English bowlers.
A risk worth taking I think.

Good knock from Weatherald.
Will give him some confidence.
75 run partnership with Travis Head gives Australia a chance.

What was that all about?
4 minutes to make a DRS decision. Smith was walking off. He knew he was out.

Don't see much wrong with this Perth pitch. Some very good fast bowling from both teams - and some ordinary batting.
If Australia can limit England to less than 150, they are in with a chance to snatch a win in the 1st Test.

Brilliant catch from Starc.
Not exactly sure why Crawley did not walk and why we needed 10 replays to confirm the catch.
You're out mate.

Great to see Lyon and Doggett showing some discipline and patience. Protecting their wicket and adding some valuable runs.
Need to see more discipline from the Aust top order in 2nd innings.
