Welcome new followers! When I’m not pitching tv shows, producing audio fiction (The Black Tapes; The Big Loop; Marvels; and 2 coming in 2025) or writing books (You Suck, Sir), I’m at home with my wife and dog cooking unhealthy but satisfying meals and drinking too much wine and bourbon.
I know this XMas season feels like a real downer for many but one of my best friends was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer 3 months ago and this week it’s nearly gone so I am feeling mighty blessed. (He has one surgery next month then it’s all clear hopefully.) Grateful to the BC Cancer Institute.

David Brooks, who wrote in the NYT last month, "The Epstein Story? Count Me Out" is... in the latest Epstein photo dump published by @oversightdemocrats.house.gov.

He should absolutely be fired by NYT for this. Major conflict of interest that he didn't disclose.

This atmospheric river is a bit too river-like for us.

I love when my favourite bands visit KEXP and their amazing sound team. Model/Actriz may be the most exciting crew touring today and KEXP just uploaded their recent visit. youtu.be/Lan73LkbnnM?...

I really hope Chris Anderson wins a Pulitzer for these photos. (A part of me likes to believe he can see so clearly through bs cuz he was born in my home province of British Columbia.)

a wild story that encapsulates how tech executives view AI. Anthropic's Deputy CISO made his Discord server a ghost town by forcing an AI chatbot onto it despite community protests
Anthropic Exec Forces AI Chatbot on Gay Discord Community, Members Flee
“We’re bringing a new kind of sentience into existence,” Anthropic's Jason Clinton said after launching the bot.

This one is hitting hard. Reminds me of when Prince & Bowie passed. I grew up on their art, return to it for inspiration & joy. Devastated by the death of someone I didn’t know cuz he created things that likely helped shape who I am today. If you’re feeling this today, you’re not alone.

When Rob Reiner was on his all-time epic run at the start of his career, he had an opportunity to read a script that was looking for a production partner, and he lost his mind for it. He decided Castle Rock had to have it, no matter what.

There is nothing left to say about the heartbreaking, horrific death of Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer. Reiner’s body of work speaks for itself. He worked tirelessly for racial and LGBTQ progress. By all accounts, he was a good person. My heart goes out to their friends and family

Hollywood has to wake up tomorrow and just go back to work like nothing fucking happened. I don't know that there's a person in the industry who hasn't been influenced by Reiner's work. Tomorrow is an industry day of mourning, pure and simple. It's all any of us are going to be talking about.

I hope Mel Brooks is surrounded by love right now. My heart is so sick for him too.

Rob Reiner made THE PRINCESS BRIDE. He made WHEN HARRY MET SALLY. He made MISERY, SPINAL TAP, and countless other classics.

Rob gave us a great gift, and his and his wife's senseless murders are a devastating loss.

For the record, these are not bad sales, they are beyond horrendous. A debut science fiction author with a social media following of 3 people would be expected to do way better than this. This is the literary equivalent of a quarterback getting the ball and immediately scoring against his own team

Got the crew together last night. 4/5 decades of friendship. Lots of weddings, funerals, heartbreak, joy. So many stories. It never ceases to amaze me how they’re all able to nurture their sense of wonder, curiosity, empathy and ability to hold their booze. For one glorious night we said fuck gout.

hi hi can I make a little "looking for work" post? Trying to build out my 26 schedule and I'd LOVE more comics work or similar stuff!

I'm a TV/comics writer witha big IP series coming in 26, two graphic novels at madcave, and indies! I do best with emotions and banter and love YA and horror.
