If the SC decides to accept this argument, then it could lead to this scenario, right?

> ICE demands proof your ancestors were legal immigrants
> ancestry.com is down
> you can't find proof
> "then your ancestors must be undocumented"
> you are descended from your ancestors
> whole family deported
Here is the question presented. It's a relatively clean vehicle for the Supreme Court to finally decide whether it is lawful for the president to deny birthright citizenship to the children of immigrants. www.supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/25...

i mean was there any doubt? Was he supposed to be like the one true antifa guy that was there? Or did he simply not realize the scheduling clash until it was too late when he planned his own attack on DC?

Joe Biden's legacy is multifold but one of its most damaging impacts on our coalition is the erosion of trust between base and electeds over a genocidal aspiring ethnostate's right to do a genocide.
and I don't think they can get away with that anymore. the trust that they *really* mean they oppose the war is gone after Gaza

Had a nightmare a big black wolf was coming after me and my dog. I was yelling at it in the dream, waving dishes at it, and trying to get it to back off.

Eventually ran inside the church I would go for Boy Scouts after it had left us for a bit

But oof, stressed me out

imagine a representative in govt being immediately responsive to changes in their constituents preferences, which are constantly being pushed and aggregated from each constituent.

they are expected to be accountable to them in real-time
what would a post-social media internet look like?
December 3, 2025 at 6:13 PM
a post-social media internet wouldn't completely replace social media. it's that the e.g. academic, scientific, and political uses would be specialized for those use-cases while still providing means for public mass participation

the use-cases for social media exceed the available means of expression.

it’s the willingness to surreptitiously supplant humanity

and in that way i guess i understand mike johnson’s desire to avoid trying to explain all this. He probably is just as lost as the rest of us.
hes so anticeremonial that he can tweet shit that won’t even parse, so we get stuck trying to derive meaning and order from it.
its the meaningless ceremony of it. thats where i do get where trump’s completely anticeremonial approach to governing is coming from.

they don't let flags naturally droop anymore. bugs me.

it bugs me like that trope where world leaders stand on stairs with unnatural spacing between them. annoys me.

same with "leaders sat down for a meeting" where they just show them each sitting at a table. wears me out

The projected American concept of “antifa” invites conflation of the non-fascist Rechtsstaat liberal democrats with the totalitarian communists. It merges these liberal and antiliberal ideologies under a single, self-contradictory term.
“The real conflict was between freedom and liberal democracy on one side and the two revolutionary totalitarianisms [communism and fascism] on the other”

True civil society “[cannot] function without the freedoms guaranteed by the liberal state based on the rule of law (the Rechtsstaat)”
