It feels, to me, like the last of the games to really go for 'pokemon style' - and even then it was much less than previous generations.

It's sad as pokemon would benefit so much more from going for vibrancy and stylisation rather than 'realism'.

ZA seems like a step in the right direction though.

There's nothing quite like these early days of autumn.

I have a general dislike for the season, as it tends to be a grey, cold, and wet affair in Scandinavia.

However, it's one of the most breathtaking things to experience for that one week in early October each year.

Running around, looking at NPCs, and listening to their unhinged takes is some of the most fun i've had in a long while.

My favorite so far is this dude who was roughly 1 second away from being chokeslammed by his own pokemon.

understanding that the human mind will naturally focus on the few negative reactions you get compared to the hundreds and thousands of positive reactions you're receiving means you really need to be willing to block and walk away in a snap. the bigger you are, the more that you should do this tbh

Political commentators in the online space are exceedingly vulnerable - probably more so when it's American politics.

It's a loss/loss situation but HasanAbi, based on what I've seen, made the right decision. Respond calmly to the situation and then put it aside.

Don't watch much of him, but he seems to be the focus of manufactured outrage every so often. He seemingly responds to it every time but it never seems to work.

He had a video out where he explained the collar components in detail within a day. People wanna hate and discredit - not get answers.

Did Arceus curse Volo to essentially become the pokemon universe' version of Cain? The museum seemingly indicates that he is still alive somehow.

The Lumiose museum in #Pokemon ZA is so nice. There's the Diancie painting which is clearly an homage to Vermeer, and also some art that features the XY protagonist.

I would argue that Warcraft, in fact, suffers from the introduction of new races.

Development cost, screentime, and relevancy is already stretched for what we have and each new one dilutes it further. It'd be better to focus on races we have and bulk them up - narratively and ingame (customization)

The opening to Pokemon Legends: Z-A is so cozy. Music is nice, and the vibes are on.

That said, this take is one of the wildest opening statements I've ever seen - both as something coming from a tutorial opponent (#4 trainer) you meet in a game but also in general.

As a child growing up in the 90s, you knew the movie was going to be an absolute banger when you saw one of his posters/cover art.

To this day the visuals that Struzan made are what I associate with 'proper' movie posters.

I love Amarys from the Indigo Disk DLC.

Deadpan characters are so amusing to me and she is no exception. She is such a fun mix of rigid punctuality combined with being the most empathetic of the BB cast.

Her and Drayton immediately catch on to what is going on and why it is happening.

Just finished The Indigo Disk, and with that my journey into Paldea is over.

The base game is kinda rough but the DLCs are very nice. Absolutely recommend them as they save the game.

The character cast is so fun and well done. Carmine, Keiran, the BB Elite 4. Such good characterisation! Fun!

I aspire to be the level of smug hater that Drayton is. The characters in The Indigo Disk DLC to Pokemon SV are great!

Wish the base game had focused on school, using its cast to its fullest extent, and utilizing the large and open world for things like trials in the same way the DLC does.

I miss bard being a proper support jack-of-all-trades.
The conversion into a 'full' DPS that isn't allowed to be good sucks

They should make a decision with ranged phys - make them a full support and give them something more interesting than a brief dmg buff, or let them do proper DPS DMG.

Online discourse can be so toxic.

Partly because hard action games appeal to a specific demographic, but also because people want to be part of the experience and the easiest way to elicit a reaction in a streamer is to annoy them.

Hope you manage to tune it out. Taking a break is always valid :)
