I stand by my opinion that the funniest gag in golden kamuy was the slowly approaching polar bear.

I understand why it wouldn't have worked in the anime, but in the manga it's the funniest fucking thing. No other joke tops it for me. Lore drop while a polar bear slowly pursues the main cast...perf

Kikuta belongs in the romance genre and everyone can smell the heartfelt optimism on him and they want him dead. He deserves a harem of damaged young men who want a daddy to soothe them but that space was already filled by Tsurumi and this manga wasn't big enough for the both of them.
