It's a possibility but unlikely. Those systems are extremely accurate. Then again, as I mentioned in another post, Camp Pendleton is right near San Clemente. Very right wing. It's where Nixon retired. I'm actually shocked the residents aren't outraged by this. They're in the danger zone.

I'm not saying there's zero possibility someone will go rogue and shoot at people. We've seen too much insanity the last 9 months. But what is planned is a military exercise to shoot missiles from warships onto Camp Pendleton ...which is right next to VERY right wing San Clemente so...

I used almost your exact phrase. I said we don't need liars on the left like we have on the right. I'm a policy researcher and make my living finding facts and evidence. If I have a client who wants me to slant a report by omitting facts, I turn it down. These times are too important and serious.

I had massive online fights last when Meidas posted it People telling me sailors would be committing treason, war crimes, it's unconstitutional. I told them it's a military exercise, they'd be court-martialed if they disobeyed the order to shoot into camp pendleton. They just got more hysterical.

With all due respect that's not remotely the same thing. The 5, next to the 405, carries more people per day than any freeway in the US. Hardly anybody takes Hwy 1, I envy the people you know who think about driving up to Monterey LOL. Closing even a portion of the 5 is a major major nightmare.

The missiles will be shot at a part of Camp Pendleton. Which is insane & dangerous but not the same as shooting at protesters. Military members cannot refuse an order to shoot at the camp for a military exercise but I can't imagine any Navy commander shooting missles at citizens.

It's not treason. It's a MILITARY EXERCISE. No missiles are being shot at people. I wrote a much nastier comment & deleted it - don't make me regret it. And members of the military do NOT have a say on how military tax dollars are spent. The Pentagon does.
