Look, if I’m going to fight for democracy, I don’t want to do it in high waisted pants.
How would you describe a sinus #headache to someone who has never had one?
I must add that the implication that we don’t already know this is also insulting.
The louvre heist was just the filming of a new Wallace & Gromit/Feathers McGraw joint.
You went really deep into an explanation that’s so tangential to the OP. I didn’t mean to encourage you at all and for that i apologize.
Arizona still only costs $1. I don’t get your comment at all.

you don't understand. as someone who isn't inherently good at art, stealing paintings from the museum is the *only* way i'm able to express myself creatively. i wouldn't be able to paint beautiful portraits. but by breaking into a museum and stealing the paintings, now i am
As I stated in another comment here, that there are several ways to be involved politically at work in a school - advising various groups and giving voice to students staff and families. If you’re unionized, that’s another way to get involved.
I think looking into why one becomes a teacher and why is education important will lead folks to recognize its political nature. Further investigation into how edu has been weaponized by who could and could not be educated in the US and why/why not.
How can you convince folks teaching is political? Or how can you convince folks to go beyond teaching? I’m unclear what you’re looking for here. Almost sounds like you’re seeking permission to just stop at “I’m doing enough, I’m a teacher!”
My 2 additional comments speak to that.
We need more housing!
You can educate folks on what the fed dept of ed actually does and advocate for student w disabilities. Plus using your educational skills at hyper local things. I use my teaching skills in my local Buddhist group to help break down concepts and makes it more accessible. I’m great at making slides.
Youcan get the staff or kids doing fundraisers for food banks or mutual aid groups. You can be the advisor of clubs with student led initiatives about their areas of concern (gsa, advocacy club, student council, etc). You can support your local libraries and advocate for your students to get cards.
I guess I don’t know how it’s different than any other occupation. You can’t necessarily talk about the political at work but that doesn’t stop you from doing things outside of work.

I'm proud of folks for showing up today. And grateful, too.

this rocks. when indiana edu killed the student newspaper, Purdue stepped up, printed the forbidden issue, drove it to Bloomington and stocked the boxes.
I’m watching Confessions of a Shopaholic. It’s about journalistic integrity. It’s wild how out of place it is in 2025.
I think you just proved his point about white feminism.
All week. Last weekend, too.

I made a feed, it's an ongoing collection of things Mike Johnson haven't seen or heard about.

Mike Johnson has now had the House adjourned for 74 out of the last 86 days.

They have worked 12 days in 3 months.

Epstein Shutdown.
Hi, ms art teacher here, this isn’t an optical illusion only seen once photographed. Folks for sure could see the hate symbol if they actually bothered to look at it. Not paying attention and/or being a hateful are both choices.
lol, now they're saying the Nazi flag is an "optical illusion"
