Thomas Downing (1791-1866) set the standard for Graham Platner. A Black oysterman & diehard abolitionist he invented the famous NYC oyster bars. Became one of the city's richest men.
Downing was barred fr/citizenship until 1866, on the day before he died.

Mike Johnson and other GOP Christians want the USA to be (their version of) a Christian nation when it comes to banning abortion, stripping LGBTQs of civil rights, and requiring prayer in schools. When it comes to implementing the words of Jesus, though, they run the other way.

Trump's mechanism to pay the troops during the shutdown is by far the most illegal budgetary action he's taken as POTUS, potentially setting the stage to break everything.

It's also needless because Congress would easily pass a troop pay bill if Johnson were willing to gavel in.

Disingenuous criticism of Graham Platner. He shares a video pointing out how the DNC helps its anointed candidates by sharing prospect lists with its candidate. Then folks rip him because he also uses lists. But he wasn't criticizing the use of lists. He only pointed out how the DNC helps its own.
