This is so bleak man

Almost exactly one year since I started bouldering and I’m starting to actually enjoy slab.

There is an open issue on this from 2022. The problem is not that no-one has requested it. As I mentioned in another thread, my expectation at this point is that the feature will never be implemented, hence my frustration.

Okay. Fair play, my tone was kind of obnoxious and I apologise for that. My intention was purely to express frustration so I probably shouldn’t have cc’d in rust-lang. But just to explain where I’m coming from: the feature existed, got removed, and probably isn’t coming back. That’s frustrating.

Other people have already made this feature request, as far back as 2022. Like the original poster you are assuming I haven’t checked this stuff.

It existed in a previous version and they took it out.

These are all the things you are allowed to configure, but apparently it's okay for the authors to be "opinionated" about some things and not others.

Niche post, but I wish rustfmt could be configured to allow for an optional blank line at the start of a function body. Given how many configuration options it supports its kind of ridiculous to be so inflexible about it. cc @rust-lang.org
