For now, we’re using the hundreds of datasets compiled by @ourworldindata.org

They source data from the World Bank, FAO, UN, WHO, and more, all consistently formatted, which makes it easy for us to connect to their API and use the data with just a few filters.

2024 was the hottest year on record and the first to breach 1.5C above pre-industrial levels

2015 to 2024 were the 10 warmest years on record

while this year is expected to be cooler, partly because of the diminished el niño impact, it will likely still rank among the 3 hottest
