I am beyond exhausted with these economic ninnies who insist on treating our national economy as if it is the same as a household one. Labour should be better but is now being guided by the same corporate interests as the Tories. More tax on the middle classes. Punish the poor and disabled.

Simply Red. I have never been a big Dahlia fan but, and maybe it’s because I’m getting older, I can now appreciate their beauty. This one at Wakehurst yesterday certainly takes your breath away.

Well, one of my favourite roses, anyway - Harlow Carr at Wakehurst yesterday.

If the so-called President of a “democracy” says that cities in his country, scheduled to stage World Cup games (and these are agreed and locked in place by participating nations) then admits that his country is no longer a safe venue it should be removed. Just give it all to Canada and Mexico.
