Like I said, this is the end result of the industry and general audiences obsession with realism and fidelity over artstyle.

Them going this direction after Infinite got lambasted for not being cutting edge or pushing limits or being cartoony was sadly predictable.

Not that it matters that this information is out there, everyone's gonna jump on it and repeat it cause of the justified hate on AI, and Microsoft isn't doing themselves any favors by doing heavy pivoting towards it.

Anytime the franchise has tried anything new it's been browbeaten down to submission cause it wasn't like the bungie games. Them going for the safest option possible for a new game with the safest artstyle was to be expected.

Extended thoughts on the Halo CE remake now that I'm home and had time to sit on it.

This is just the natural endpoint of a franchise who is trapped by nostalgia due to an unpleasable fanbase and an industry and audience who prioritizes graphical realism over everything else.
