Oh yes. If you live south of London it’s much easier to get to Ashford or Ebbsfleet (on M25) than into St Pancras.
Now everyone in the southeast has to go north to get into central London then come back again.

Ebbsfleet and Ashford are purpose built international stations on the HS1 line between St Pancras & Channel Tunnel - the only stations that can be used by international trains, but closed by SNCF/Eurostar in Covid.
Eurostar now maximising revenue only selling seats from/to London.

It has got to the same sort of situation Virgin has with Alstom - a sort of framework how to proceed if it gets access to Temple Mills

My recent 18hr, 1,000km, €400 trip Rome-Munich with Treni Turistici Italiani didn’t go as expected.
The normal high class 3 course meal, drinks & breakfast replaced by a hot dog & €8 can lager.
